Polesworth Abbey

Polesworth Abbey in Warwickshire is the site of St Editha's Church and the former site of a Benedictine Monastery. It also boasts a medieval gatehouse that underwent extensive restoration in 2010.
Over the years we have worked on a number of projects at Polesworth Abbey from a historical recreation of the history of the gatehouse to filming a community archaeological dig over a three year period.

A Short History of Polesworth Abbey Gatehouse

Dig the Abbey

Little  remains of the abbey and there are ambitious plans to build a new education centre on the site. This idea prompted a successful community archaeological dig over three summers from 2011 to 2014. Each week we produced two films to record the event in addition to this we shot hundreds of still photographs.
